NotesI have paddled the skook from 10 knots to 16 knots. Just getting into squirting does not allow me to guess how experts would handle this spot but I can say that the whirlpools here at tides over 8-9 knots would most likely proove deadly. At 15 knots I watched a guy swim from his play boat and his boat and he took down time for around 40 seconds before surfacing toward the end of the boil lines. He was not in good shape and he had a pfd on etc.. If you came here to squirt I would highly recommend coming on a very low tide. Unfortunately during the tidal exchange on days over 9knots the slack to dangerous levels are within 15-20 minutes max which would make me think anything over 6-8 knots would be a waste of time for squirting alone.
